High profit for shrimp farmers in Mekong Delta

(vasep.com.vn) So far, shrimp farmers in the Mekong Delta have reaped good yield with high selling shrimp price.

One hectare of shrimp farming area can fetch profit VND100-150 million for local farmers.

Some provinces reporting good shrimp yield include Ca Mau (almost 100,000 MT of black tiger shrimp and over 11,500 MT of vannamei); Bac Lieu (46,000 MT of black tiger shrimp and 20,400 MT of vannamei); Kien Giang (26,300 MT and over 11,300 MT, respectively); Soc Trang (21,000 MT and 44,000 MT) and Ben Tre (12,000 MT and 28,500 MT).
